Firehouse Subs Orillia with support of Public Safety Foundation of Canada have awarded a $27,685 grant to the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department to enable the purchase of a Bullex Digital Fire Extinguisher Training Unit.
The new Bullex Digital Fire Extinguisher Training Unit will be used to educate and train residents and business on how to effectively use a fire extinguisher. Having the appropriate tools on hand makes all the difference in allowing public educators to effectively serve their community.
“On behalf of the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department and its members, I want to thank the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada and Firehouse Subs Orillia located at 3220 Monarch Drive, Orillia ON, L3V8A2 for recognizing our needs and awarding funding to provide this equipment,” said Fire Chief, Ryan Murrell. “Providing public educators with the right tools is crucial for us to successfully do their jobs.”
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 331 grants to public safety organizations since 2015. This grant is one of 12 Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada awarded to public safety organizations during the most recent grant cycle. The 12 grants will provide critical lifesaving equipment valued at more than $370,000 across Ontario.
