A Gravenhurst man who broke into a local grocery store was in court recently to plead guilty to several crimes.
Terry Traynor, 53, pled guilty in Bracebridge to break and enter, theft, assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
According to a police report, on Sept. 4, 2024 at around 10:20 p.m., OPP responded to a call from a grocery that had recently closed for the evening.
The suspect, identified as Terry Traynor of Gravenhurst, entered through an employee door and tried to steal a pack of sausages.
Traynor was confronted by an employee and he struck the employee with a metal water bottle.
Police arrived quickly and arrested Traynor on-site.
Traynor was sentenced to six months in custody and 18 months of probation.
