Gravenhurst residents should expect to see an increase of 3.4 percent on their “all-in” 2023 property tax bill.
That was the message delivered to council during their latest meeting.
That translates to an average increase of $44 per $100,000 of assessment on an urban property and $34 per $100,000 on a rural property from 2022 to 2023. .
In February councillors approved a 2.9 percent increase for Town of Gravenhurst residents. The “all-in” rate includes other factors, such as education and multiple tax rates for the District (Upper Tier General, Waste Management, Sewer A, Water A). Property owners pay taxes based on the applicability of those rates.
The due date for payment of taxes is Aug. 31, 2023.
