A Muskoka driver was impaired when he was pulled over for speeding, a Bracebridge court heard recently.
Appearing last month, Dan Barker, 28, pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in his system.
Court heard that on Sept. 1, 2023, the OPP were on patrol in Georgian Bay Township when they registered a vehicle travelling at 148 km/hr. Police smelled alcohol from the driver, Barker, and tests revealed readings of 120 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in his system. Court heard Barker was also a novice driver at the time of arrest.
Barker was fined $1,750 and banned from driving for one year.
