Man causes havoc at sub shop, ends up charged 

A Bracebridge man found himself in court recently to accvu0otn for his wild behaviour at a local sandwich shop.

Brendon Brownlee, 35, pled guilty to mischief after damaging a door at a sub shop on Wellington Street in Bracebridge.

Court heard that on Dec. 16, 2023, police received a call saying two men were in the store and causing problems. The men appeared intoxicated, said the caller, and were drinking out of the fountain station.  Court heard the men requested the staff member make them a sandwich. Brownlee became irate when the staff member refused to make the sandwich because the men had no money, court heard.

Court heard Brownlee kicked the door on the way out, causing $415 in damages.

Brownlee has a criminal record. He was given a suspended sentence, 12 months probation and ordered to pay back $415 in restitution.
