MLA Aquatic Regatta celebrates a successful return

From the Muskoka Lakes Association (MLA):

The MLA’s popular Aquatic Regatta was held this past holiday weekend, Saturday July 30th. This is the oldest continuously run co-ed regatta in North America and it maintains the tradition of family, fun, and aquatic competition.

Co-committee chairs Jeff Patterson and Roslyn Manchee were thrilled to welcome back over 100 participants on the docks for the first in-person regatta in three years. The weather was perfect, each race featured a plethora of boats, and smiles were aplenty. Highlights of the day included a water hose display by the local Fire Department water rescue boat, and tilting competition, including long-time Muskoka legend Paul Richards.

The MLA Regatta Committee acknowledges the generous hospitality of the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club, sponsors, and the many volunteers. Thanks to the assistance of all of the staff at the club, and the use of the wonderful facilities.
