Downtown Bracebridge will soon have its very own Slice of Muskoka.
The popular Huntsville restaurant will be opening up a new location in the current home of Momma Bear’s on Manitoba Street.
“We know (current Momma Bears owner) Margaret Campbell quite well and when it came up for sale we thought it was a great location for us,” says Scott Wood of Slice of Muskoka. “It has a great view, convenient location and it draws a lot of foot traffic.”
The original Slice of Muskoka is located In the former home of the Soul Sistas Wellness Kitchen at 68 West Road in Hunstville. Slice of Muskoka prides themselves on being flexible to everyone’s dietary preferences. While their menu is ever-growing, their core selection includes burritos, salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches, baked goods, specialty organic coffee and tea, smoothies, and juices.
“We have something for everyone including organic vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free and dairy-free options,” says Wood. “We’ll also have burgers and french fries so it’s a very extensive menu.”
Fear not ice cream lovers, as Wood says Slice of Muskoka will still maintain a selection of ice cream, albeit a slightly abridged version of the current offering. Although they no longer plan to sell candy they will continue to offer fudge due to its popularity.
Wood officially takes ownership on September 8 and the location will be closed for 10 days so they can make some minor renovations, opening again on September 18.
You can meet the new owners yourself tomorrow at Momma Bears where they will be hosting a meet and greet.
