Interested in charging up the descriptive portions of your work? Join Muskoka Authors Association on Thursday, August 8 to hear author, Benjamin Glatt. Bring pen and paper or computer to take part in writing exercises. You can check out Benjamin’s short fiction on his website at https://www.benjaminglattauthor.com/
Glatt has been writing fiction in one form or another since he was about six years old. Since then, he has authored dozens of short stories and four novels. In 2021, he won the Muskoka Novel Marathon for one of those novels, The Life of Joshua. He primarily writes Science Fiction and Fantasy though he also enjoys penning the occasional poem, musical, lyric, or speech. His early creative work was done while he was meant to be paying attention to the real world and he has rarely checked in since. He hopes it is doing ok.
The writer holds both Masters of Education and Bachelor of Liberal Arts degrees. Between university and graduate school, he walked along the coast of the US from Key West to North Carolina. The experience taught him a great deal about isolation, sleeping hard in urban wastelands, and the lack of public restrooms. At least two of which have affected his thinking and writing since.
Today, Benjamin Glatt is a writer and humanities teacher currently living in Toronto Canada. His teaching has taken him to the far north, China, Costa-Rica, Vermont, and Ontario.
