Muskoka Bears get some tips from a hometown hockey star

From the Muskoka Bears Junior C Hockey Club:

With friends like the current Senior Vice-President of Hockey Operations for the NHL, we are building an experience like no other for our Players, Fans and Community.

We recently met with Hometown Hockey Star, Kris King to talk about all things hockey, Junior and Pro. We soaked up every bit of knowledge we could on how to provide a true world-class experience for our players, fans and community.

We are committed to using every resource available to us to better the lives of our players, enrich the lives of our fans, and create an epi-center for hockey in Muskoka that everyone can enjoy and be proud of.

This is what Kris had to say:

“As a 16-year-old, I had the honor of playing for my hometown team, the Gravenhurst Junior C Indians. I saw firsthand the importance of having a local team to cheer for and get behind and what it meant to the community. The arena became an important place in our town, especially for the younger hockey players.

Having the Bears back and playing in our new Muskoka Lumber Community Center will be something the entire community will be proud of. Having had the great fortune to play the game I love at the highest level is due in large part to the skills and lessons I learned in my younger years and at the Junior C level. I look back on those years fondly. Now, as a Bracebridge resident, I look forward to watching and cheering for our Muskoka Bears.”
