Ontario Senior of the Year Award nominations now open

From the Town of Gravenhurst:

The Town of Gravenhurst is now accepting nominations for the Ontario Senior of the Year Award.

Nominees, after the age of 65, must have enriched the social, cultural, or civic life of the community.

Contributions can be through a variety of fields, including arts, literature, volunteering, education, environment, fitness, or humanitarian.

Nominees must be residents of Gravenhurst and not hold a political office.

To nominate an individual, please visit our webpage and follow the instructions.

The deadline to nominate an individual is 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.

Council members will review nominations at the April 16 council meeting and will submit one nominee’s name to the province for consideration for an award.

The town will present the Ontario Senior of the Year Award to the deserving individual at a future date.
