From the Port Carling Skating Club:
This past weekend the Port Carling Skating Club Synchronized skating team travelled to Brampton,Ont. for the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships where their Pre-Novice team placed 5th.
The Port Carling Skating Club was honoured to have our pre-novice team qualify. They did so through a series of competition held throughout Ontario starting in December.
It takes hours of dedication on and off ice for these young skaters to master their programs. The club is extremely grateful to its head coach Marnee Reid for bringing her passion and skills for synchronized skating to the club. It is her dedication and love of the sport that has attracted so many of our youth to skate and remain skating for life.
Congratulations to the Pre-Novice team. To celebrate these skaters come check out the clubs year end carnival which will be held on two days this year April 6th at 6:30pm and April 7th at 1pm at the Port Carling arena, admission is by donation.
