Risky pass leads to drinking and driving conviction

A Gravenhurst man was in a Bracebridge court recently to plead guilty to drinking and driving-related offences.

Jacob Kramer, 22, recently pled guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, stemming from an incident that occurred June 15, 2023.

On that day at roughly 8 pm, Bracebridge OPP charged Kramer with impaired driving after receiving a complaint from a member of the public on Muskoka Rd North in Gravenhurst. The caller said Kramer attempted to pass several cars, forcing two to pull over to the side of the road to allow him to pass.

Kramer took a breathalyzer which turned up readings of 129 mg. He was sentenced to a $1,500 fine and one-year driving ban.
