The OPP turned up more than they bargained for when they executed a search warrant in Gravenhurst, a court heard recently.
Last week, Lillie Frati, 51, pleaded guilty in a Bracebridge courtroom to possession of cocaine, stemming from the execution of a warrant on June 17, 2020,
Court heard police searching for a robbery suspect received information that a robbery suspect could be found at Frati’s home in Gravenhurst, and a search warrant was obtained and executed.
The robbery suspect was found along with a quantity of illegal drugs in plain view, court heard. Ultimately the police turned up digital scales, cell phones, $1,700 in cash and five pre-packaged 1g bags of cocaine, court heard.
Frati had no previous criminal record and was sentenced to a conditional discharge with 12 months of probation.
