Swim advisory lifted for Franklin Park Beach

From the town of Gravenhurst:

Please be advised that the Swim Advisory issued for Franklin Park Beach (Sparrow Lake, 1615 Kilworthy Rd) has now been lifted.

Test results from samples collected on July 26th show that the bacteria levels were at 117 E. coli per 100 mL which rests below the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 mL.

Advisory signs on the beach will be removed. A Swim Advisory remains in effect for Muskoka Bay Park Beach (700 Muskoka Rd. 169).

The Town, in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, will continue to monitor all municipal beaches and water quality, and advise the public should there be any concerns.

We thank the public for their cooperation and understanding. For additional information on beach water testing, please visit the SMDHU website: www.simcoemuskokahealth.org/Topics/SafeWater/BeachWater/BeachPostings
