Town of Gravenhurst wants to play “Name the Plow”

From the Town of Gravenhurst:

The Town of Gravenhurst is launching its first ever ‘Name the Plow’ contest. 

This is your opportunity to name two of our new snowplows that will go into service later this winter.

Clearing snow in Gravenhurst is a big job each year. 

We have a lot of roads to get to. We look after more than 500 lane kilometres in the municipality.

In addition, we have 25 kilometres of sidewalk to clear. Typically, it takes seven to eight hours to tackle it all. 

So, how does the ‘Name the Plow’ contest work? 

Visit Engage Gravenhurst to submit your two names for our new plows. You’ll have until Jan. 29. 

We’ll then shortlist the entries and ask people to vote on their two favourite names. 

You’ll have until Feb. 12 to vote and we will announce the winner on Feb. 19.
