From the Township of Muskoka Lakes:
The Township of Muskoka Lakes is inviting residents and stakeholders to provide feedback on newly released design concepts for Hanna Park and Milford Bay Community Centre Park through Engage Muskoka Lakes by Monday, September 29, 2025.
As identified in the Parks and Trails Standards Manual, Development Plans are being prepared for Community and Destination scaled parks to support long-term capital planning and address aging infrastructure. These parks typically feature a combination of active and passive recreational uses, such as sports fields, playgrounds, water play areas, trails, amenity/support buildings and parking facilities. Additional parks have been identified for Development Plans, with engagement scheduled for 2026.
The design concepts for Hanna Park and Milford Bay Community Centre Park reflect ideas gathered during the initial ideation phase of public engagement, occurred June 2025. This second stage of feedback will help shape the final park designs and ensure the plans align with community priorities.
How To Participate
The design concepts and survey are available now through the Park Development Plans project page on Engage Muskoka Lakes, specifically:

The two plans for Milford Bay Community Centre are a frivolous waste of our ever increasing tax dollars. Milford Bay would be much better served by the Township finding a plan to mitigate the unsafe huge flow of traffic invading Milford Bay Road at Huckleberry Rock every year. Failure to do so may result in a tragedy at this unmanaged and unsafe site. The eventual plan for a new fire hall seems prudent given the age and condition of the existing hall although careful consideration will have to be given to the firefighters access to the water access component of the firehall.. Please focus on the safety of our community first.
