Wayback Wednesday: Laycox Dairy, Gravenhurst, 1942

From the Gravenhurst Archives:

According to a Gravenhurst Banner article from 1971, “Carl Laycox established the first milk processing plant in Gravenhurst in April 1932, located in the main business block. It was later sold to Ron Thompson and then Alf Laycock and subsequently to Briars.”

The same article states that Briars, Gravenhurst’s last operating milk processing facility, closed the previous day – September 15 1971.
