Woman arrested for dangerous driving at Walmart

A woman’s wild driving in the Bracebridge Walmart parking lot recently earned her a trip to court.

Jennifer Dawson, 51, recently pled guilty to dangerous driving stemming from an Oct. 1, 2021 incident

Court heard that at roughly 6:44 pm on that day they received a complaint about a woman driving erratically around the Walmart parking lot. Court heard Dawson was driving excessively fast in circles around the parking lot. When questioned by police, Dawson said she had the windows down and was trying to give her dog some air. However, the police noticed signs of impairment and ultimately determined she was intoxicated by cannabis.

She was given a $1,000 fine, banned from driving for three months and prohibited from driving with any non-prescription drugs for another nine months.
