Hello and welcome to South Muskoka Doppler!
We’re very excited to be able to bring a fresh perspective on journalism to South Muskoka and we’re happy to have you joining us. From Kilworthy to Bracebridge, and Bala to Vankoughnet, our goal is to be the go-to source of news for South Muskoka.
For the past six years, Huntsville Doppler has been covering North Muskoka and during that time they’ve grown to be the most comprehensive and trusted source of news and commentary In the region. We intend to do the same for South Muskoka.
Doppler Online was established by a group of people who have spent most of their adult lives working in the journalism field here in Muskoka. We care about this region and we care about telling the stories of the people and places that make this such a special place to live and work.
Our aim is to become your first stop for breaking news, local sports, informed commentary, arts and entertainment, and interesting stories about the people and places of Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes.
We’ll do our best to take on everything we think is relevant and interesting to you – the reader – but this isn’t a one-way street. Is there a local issue you think needs more attention? Is there someone or something that deserves some special recognition? Do you want to have your say on matters affecting you and your community? Get in touch and let us know what you’re thinking.
Again, thanks for joining us as we look forward to serving South Muskoka in the months and years to come.

I would like to purchase a copy of the article regarding the re-launch of The Rob Roy II.
I am Cliff Fitchett’s cousin and have been very much following his dream since he started to build the steamboat. I would like to frame it for Cliff and Jo-Ann.
I will be taking a ride on the boat soon.
Your assistance is appreciated.
