On December 15, 2022, Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were on general patrol on Muskoka Road 118 East, in Bracebridge. Just after 10 p.m. officers observed a pickup truck drive past them on Uffington Road. The officers conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 23-year-old Roarke MCOOEYE of Bracebridge, ON, with the following:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand CC 320.15(1)
- Driving while under suspension HTA 53(1.1)
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor LLCA 42(1)(a)
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 18, 2023, to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his vehicle has been impounded for 45 days.
