Bracebridge may be on track to add another brewery pending the results of a development committee meeting tonight.
During Wednesday evening’s development and planning committee meeting, councillors are set to consider a zoning amendment that would allow for a new brewery on Ecclestone Drive.
The zoning amendment is for 685 Ecclestone Drive, which consists of 14 hectares with approximately 220 metres of frontage on Ecclestone Drive. The property is currently developed with an existing two-storey building supporting multiple businesses for a variety of industrial uses, including an existing truss company, a sorting location for Canada Post, and warehouse operations for Lake of Bays Brewery. The amendment will allow for Lake of Bays Brewery to brew beer from the subject lands.
Lake of Bays already operates a brewhouse out of the retail plaza on the corner of Wellington Street and Highway 118. They also have operations in Baysville and Huntsville.
