Gravenhurst public works expected to reduce flood risks

From the Town of Gravenhurst:

The Town of Gravenhurst is proposing improvements to the existing drainage system in the area of Oriole Crescent and Lorne Street in order to reduce flood risk to properties in the area.

The proposed works include:

i)        improvements to the culvert crossings on Lorne Street and Oriole Crescent, and;

ii)       improvements to the existing drainage channel between Lorne Street and Oriole Crescent,

The study will consider environmental impacts and propose appropriate mitigation measures.

In accordance with the requirements for Schedule B projects of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, the Town will present study material for public review commencing the week of September 5, 2023, which includes the recommended solution. The presentation material can be accessed here. Enquiries and comments on the presentation material will be received by the Consultant at the email address below until September 19, 2023.
