A group of lucky local students will get the chance to see some of the NHL’s brightest stars in person on Wednesday at the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
A Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment spokesperson confirmed the organization invited local schools, and students from Watt PS, Macaulay PS and Monck will attend the practice.
The Leafs will be in the Bracebridge area, starting today, for team bonding and final tune-ups prior to the start of the NHL regular season next week.
In the past, the Leafs have hosted similar open practices for students at the Graeme Murray Arena in Gravenhurst.

I sure hope Gravenhurst is stepping up to have the Maple Leafs Training Camp back at the Gravenhurst Arena. Gravenhurst has had the Leafs training camp in previous years, and hope that it will return to Gravenhurst!
When it’s been at Gravenhurst it was open to the public – young and old and it was not limited to Gravenhurst only residents, anyone was welcome! In a small community that their hockey teams are made up of kids from both Gravenhurst & Bracebridge it’s important to not divide events by where you live!
This was always a very well run event by Gravenhurst.
Open to the Community, and not restricted by where you lived or if you registered or if you rec’d a invite.
Maybe the Leaf’s would be open to splitting their ice time between 2 rinks?!
