It appears the Muskoka Bay Resort is set to make another addition to its holdings in Gravenhurst.
The District of Muskoka recently received an application for a draft plan of subdivision on Carrick Trail.
The plan calls for a seven-storey residential, mixed-use condominium with 88 residential units, a rooftop commercial unit and associated common elements.
The units would be accessed via Carrick Trail, an existing private road, and are proposed to be serviced by municipal water and sewage systems.
Muskoka Bay already operates a golf course, clubhouse, villas and a hotel in the area of the proposed development.
The plans must still be approved by District council. Written submissions on the project from members of the public are being accepted by the Distrcit at any time throughout the planning process, up until the date a decision is made.

Jack Lord says
Awful. Simply awful. Why do we let our politicians destroy Muskoka? Who do they represent.
The developer has lots of land to put in a low rise development in keeping with the heritage of Muskoka. Migrating birds will be harmed hitting this Miami Beach look building.
We paid for the sewer and water infrastructure. It’s already under stress. Let the land speculators pay the infrastructure costs.
