A woman who punched a complete stranger in the face in a Tim Hortons parking lot was in front of a Bracebridge judge recently.
Ashley Sale, 34, of Marathon, ON, recently pleaded guilty to assault recently stemming from an incident that occurred in Bracebridge on Aug. 24, 2022.
Court heard that on that day the Bracebridge OPP received a call about an assault in progress in the parking lot of the Tim Hortons on Wellington Street. Police spoke to a woman who explained that she witnessed an altercation between an intoxicated Sale and a group of young women in the parking lot. The caller said when she tried to break up the fight Sale punched her in the face. The victim suffered a nosebleed and redness under the eye.
Court heard that Sale has a criminal record. She was given a conditional discharge, 12 months of probation and 15 hours of community service.
