Wayback Wednesday: Bob Inn, Bala

This photo from Vintage Muskoka depicts the Bob Inn beside the Kee to Bala

The site of the Bob Inn is now occupied by the Bala Falls Pub, which was established in 2002. According to their website, the business was originally The Eldorado, and was later known as the Latern Loft and the Kee Café.

    My uncle owned this business as the “ Bob Inn “. He purchased the business known as “ The Snackery “. I have never heard the name Eldorado before . Not sure where you obtained the info . Also note . The photo you are using was originally posted to another site by me .

My favourite memory of the Bob Inn: my friend Pam and I were munching on their delicous, cheesey roast beef subs in early July when two guys pulling snowmobiles pulled up in front of the Bob Inn and asked us, ‘how much farther before we see snow?’. We were trying to be polite and explain, but I was choking on my sandwich I was laughing so hard. At first I thought they were pranking us, but they were serious. True story.
