With 2024 in the books, South Muskoka Doppler is looking back on some of our most-read articles of the year that was.

1. Concerns mount over potential snowmobile trail closures in Muskoka

In December we looked at increasing concerns about the future of Muskoka’s snowmobiling trails amid liability concerns and negotiations with local snowmobile clubs and the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.

2. More than 100 lawyers head for Muskoka

In September we reported on a group of more than 100 lawyers from across the province headed for Muskoka as the Ontario Bar Association hosted the Ontario Legal Conference & Retreat at Deerhurst Resort.

3. Gravenhurst mayor lauds newly created Ontario Corps for snowstorm work

In December, Mayor Heidi Lorenz thanked Premier Doug Ford and the newly created Ontario Corps for their assistance during the massive snowstorm that occurred earlier in the month.
