From the Dads of Muskoka:
Welcome to the Mosquito Open Muskoka disc golf fundraiser taking place at Dads of Muskoka Disc Golf Course in Bracebridge.
This is a fundraiser tournament for The Dads of Muskoka who not only built our course, but have organized and funded a great amount of course improvements along with our generous hole sponsors.
In 2022 alone we rebuilt many of the tee boxes and added brand new turf boxes to over half of the holes with the remaining holes to be finished this year. We also rebuilt bridges, stairs, and cleaned up pathways. Not to mention constant cleanup of fallen trees.
We believe we have one of the most beautiful courses in Ontario. Based on our course reviews on sites like Udisc, we know you agree!
So come on out and play, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player. We just want to get together, throw some frisbees at trees, and have a great time.
Which division are you?
Beginners – People that have never played, or play less than 20 rounds a year and are not competitive. This division is all about having fun and not taking things seriously. If you are familiar with PDGA rankings and ratings, this likely isn’t the division for you. If you have played our course before, you might average +20.
Intermediate – For experienced players that enjoy a challenge. If you have played our course before, you might average +10. Maybe you’ve dipped your toes in the low pluses, but you aren’t consistent. If you are familiar with PDGA rankings, think MA3, MA4 etc.
Advanced – For competitive players. People that can often shoot under par at our course or average +5 or better. You usually compete in MA2+.
Keep in mind, the goal is to fundraise and have fun. Since all divisions are playing together, pace of play might be a bit slower than normal.
