A Gravenhurst man who stuck a mock pistol through a Mcdonald’s drive-thru window and claimed to be the son of god was sentenced to 18 months in jail following a recent court appearance in Bracebridge.
Earlier this year Jason McIntyre, 34, pled guilty to armed robbery and several other charges. The charges stemmed from an April 13, 2021 incident, wherein police responded to a call about a man with a firearm in the drive-thru of the McDonald’s in Gravenhurst.
As a result, McIntyre was arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm.
Court heard McIntyre had threatened the victim during the robbery, telling them they were going to pay and pointed the replica gun through the drive-thru window. Upon arrest, McIntyre claimed to be the “son of God” and made several references to numerology.

Court also heard that McIntyre has a previous criminal record. In 2015 Jason McIntyre, a former host on a Christian radio station, pleaded guilty to several charges of sexual interaction with one 12 year-old and two 14 year-old boys. McIntyre pleaded guilty to two counts of inviting sexual touching of someone under 16, two counts of child pornography, one count of luring a child, and another two counts for breach of bail.
In addition to 18 months in jail, less time served in pre-trial custody, McIntyre was sentenced to two years of probation.
