The Muskoka Fire Danger Rating is now set to HIGH. NO DAYTIME BURNING is allowed. Use extreme caution with all outdoor burning.
Dry grass and leaves can ignite easily from something as small as an improperly discarded cigarette butt. Dry conditions contribute to rapid fire spread and a small fire can become a large one in just minutes. Warm, sunny days are forecasted and will continue to dry out ground cover.
Small recreational campfires (2 ft X 2 ft) are permitted in the Town of Bracebridge between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Fires must be supervised at all times and adequate water and tools for extinguishing the fire must be available.
