A Huntsville driver has been barred from driving for the next three years and placed under house arrest for repeat impaired driving infractions.
Appearing recently in a Bracebridge courtroom, Danielle Keetch, pleaded guilty to driving with over 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
Court heard that on May 11, 2022, police were called to a single-vehicle accident on Brunel Road at roughly 11 pm.
When police arrived they found a car hanging from the shoulder of the road, badly damaged and undriveable, court heard.
Police found the driver, Keetch, who said she had swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the road. Keetch did not require medical attention but police suspected she had been drinking and a subsequent test confirmed she was over the legal limit.
Court heard that on Dec. 20, 2017, Keetch was convicted of the same offence.
She was sentenced to four months of house arrest, two-years probation and a three-year driving ban.
