New Bracebridge trail named after local Paralympian

Bracebridge’s most highly decorated Paralympian will soon be immortalized at Annie Williams Park.

On Thursday at 11 am Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney, members of Council, and Paralympic Collin Cameron will officially open a new accessible trail at Annie Williams Memorial Park.

Cameron has a long list of accolades, including three sit-skiing bronze medals at the 2022 Paralympic Games in Beijing. More recently Cameron won a gold medal and two silvers at the 2023 World Para-Nordic Skiing Championships in Östersund, Sweden.

A reception will take place immediately following at Bracebridge Memorial Arena. Light refreshments will be served, and guests are invited to view a display of Collin Cameron’s sports memorabilia in the Sports Hall of Fame.
