A Gravenhurst bridge is set for some significant upgrades to ensure it stays up to standard.
During this month’s Gravenhurst council meeting, the Town officially approved the Pinetree Road Bridge Rehabilitation to McPherson-Andrews Contracting Limited at $168,087.
Council heard that the Pinetree Road Bridge was originally constructed in 2010 and at the time was intended to be a temporary bridge structure. While a replacement structure was never advanced, the most recent biennial inspection of the structure brought to the forefront repairs and rehabilitation efforts necessary to ensure the bridge maintains an adequate Bridge Condition Rating.
The construction sequencing is anticipated to start on January 11, 2024, with substantial performance being in place by mid-February.
