Soapstones challenges Muskoka businesses to help those with cancer

On February 4th, Enliven Cancer Care hosted a World Cancer Day Event to honour those living with a cancer diagnosis, their caregivers, families and volunteers in our community.

During the celebration, David McLean, Board Member of Enliven and owner of Soapstones Natural Skincare presented Enliven with a cheque for $10,000 to advance Enliven’s programs to a growing number of people. He added a challenge to businesses in the Muskoka area to match any single or combined business donation.

All donations go directly to supporting Enliven’s programming. With 2 in 5 Canadians expected to develop cancer in their lifetime, the services offered by Enliven impact everyone. Enliven Cancer Care provides educational services, information, a variety of valued programs and a community of support at no charge to those affected by cancer including those with a diagnosis, family members, caregivers, and health care providers.
