Andrew Maclean of Gravenhurst purchased this retired 4-6-0 steam locomotive from the CNR, for display on Bethune Drive, near the railway station. Old 1521 also served as a billboard to catch the eyes of motorists passing along the old Highway 11 bypass.

CNR # 1521 formerly on display at Gravenhurst, was acquired by the Ontario Government for a proposed Science and Technology Museum. The governments collection of railway equipment was sold as surplus after the opening of the Ontario Science Centre.

Here it is again, now on display at Upper Clemments Park, in Nova Scotia.
