Young Bracebridge family loses everything in fire

A fire in Bracebridge has left a young couple originally from the Czech Republic with nothing.

Early this morning, a fire destroyed the Manitoba Street home of Jesika Suchánkováon and David Kovar, who lived there with their one-year-old daughter Mia. All of the occupants escaped unharmed but according to a GoFundMe account set up today, the couple lost everything.

“David and Jessica have started a life together in Bracebridge, originally from the Czech Republic,” reads the account set up by their friend Paisley Gliddon. “They moved here when they were eighteen…they have no family in Canada to help them during this difficult time, and they lost everything, including their home. If you can donate, please consider. Anything is appreciated.”

Items such as food and baby clothes are also being accepted.
