OPP Investigating Rowdy Bears Fans in Bracebridge

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the circumstances surrounding significant damage that was caused at a community centre in Bracebridge.

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., a local hockey team was hosting a hockey game at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre located on Salmon Avenue in Bracebridge. A group of youth/young adult spectators supporting the local team were standing gathered at one corner of the space and between 9:30 – 10:00 p.m. and began climbing the boards, hanging from the top of the glass and aggressively rocking the glass until it broke. Some of the involved pulled off their own shirts and were waving them around in the air. The conduct of this group of spectators was unacceptable and caused significant damage to the glass and supports.

Multiple people were recording this incident, and police are aware that many of those videos are circulating online. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or video footage is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Please reference incident number E260428212.

The glass I believe didn’t break it came out of the frame, happens all the time usually by the players.
