For the members of the group, the journey to the stage is as much about community as it is about the music. The rehearsal process is a grueling but exhilarating 13-week “bootcamp” of harmony and heart.
“For the choir, the rock party starts every Wednesday for 13 weeks prior to the show and ends with the biggest party, performing for our audience,” says Terry Exell, member of The Rock Singers. “Please come and rock with us!”
Under the dynamic direction of Alana Nuedling, the group has spent months honing these complex harmonies to ensure every decade hits with maximum impact. The Rock Singers of Muskoka have become a staple of the local arts scene, offering a unique outlet for vocalists who prefer leather jackets to robes and electric guitars to organs. This May performance serves as the culmination of their spring season, showcasing the dedication of neighbours, friends, and coworkers who transform into rock stars for one unforgettable evening.
