I hope the community will consider having the offenders ‘pay’ for the damages through community work. There is no excuse for this kind of disrespect. A summer spent mowing the lawns and tending the gardens, a fall spent raking leaves and a winter spent shoveling driveways of the elderly/infirmed will go a long way to building character and encouraging compassionate thinking in their developing brains. A slap on the wrist is not going to cut it in my opinion.
